MMAD Vineyard Chenin Blanc is a groundbreaking, single-vineyard expression of old-vine McLaren Vale Chenin Blanc, sourced from historic 1964 plantings in the cool, elevated sub-region of Blewitt Springs. Crafted by the talented team behind Shaw + Smith, Tolpuddle, and MMAD (Frank van de Loo, Michael Hill Smith MW, Adam Wadewitz, and David LeMire MW), this wine showcases the unique sandy soils and old-vine intensity of the site. Fermented and aged in a combination of concrete tanks and large French oak puncheons, it opens with high-toned aromas of yellow pear, white peach, crushed flint, and subtle white floral spice. On the palate, it exhibits fantastic phenolic texture and weightless concentration, balanced by a sharp, mineral-driven acidity that leads to a long, savoury, and exceptionally precise finish.
