Virgin Willcock: Vasse Felix

Virginia has never lost sight of why she became a winemaker. Her parents owned a small vineyard and, as a teenager, Virginia witnessed the joy of growing grapes and turning them into something more beautiful. It became her calling... She cares deeply about every aspect of winemaking, from the people she works with to those special sites producing excellent fruit for her to turn into the best wines possible. 

Kate Sturgess:  Brokenwood

 Kate has been integral in revitalising the Hunter Valley Young Winemaker’s Tasting Group through the Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association (HVWTA), and was nominated for Winemaker of the Year at the Hunter Valley Legends Awards 2021. One of Kate’s professional highlights has been Brokenwood Wines winning James Halliday’s ‘Wine of the Year’ with the 2018 Brokenwood Wines Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz. 

Teresa Heuzenroder:Janz

Teresa Heuzenroeder is a celebrated Australian winemaker with over 30 years of experience crafting award-winning cool-climate wines. Combining scientific precision with creative intuition, she is renowned for her expertise in sparkling and white winemaking across cool-climate regions Tasmania, Adelaide Hills, Eden Valley and King Valley. 

 Louisa Rose: Pewsey Vale 

Louisa Rose has been part of the Yalumba story for more than three decades and remains one of Australia’s most respected winemakers. Today, as Head of Sustainability and Global Brand Ambassador, Louisa brings her vision, leadership and voice to the future of Australian wine, championing sustainable practices, progressive thinking, and a united industry.

Jenn Parr: Valli

Jen was the first winemaker to receive the ‘Champion Winemaker Award’ at the prestigious New Zealand International Wine Show. With Jen leading the winemaking team, the wines continue to receive top recognition including trophy honours both domestic and international - with the IWC (International Wine Challenge, London), the Decanter World Wine Awards, and the NZ Royal Easter Show to name a few. 

 Helen Masters: Ata Rangi

Helen Masters has been the Winemaker at Ata Rangi for 20 years.  As well as crafting fine wines of consistent international acclaim, she is actively involved in the continual pursuit of excellence in the vineyards and driving Ata Rangi’s environmental management systems and organic certification.
