Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2020

Vaudésir is a steep slope of three parcels totalling 1.2 hectares, and it is Chablis at its most spicy and intense. The 2020 was cropped at about 35 hectolitres per hectare, and the wine is a touch more demonstrative than its siblings.

The result is vine blossom, orange zest, crisp white peach and honeycomb, with a hint of gunsmoke. The palate is medium to full-bodied and enveloping, with a seamless, fleshy profile and lively acidity. Burghound calls it "lace and grace" and suggests a decade or so of cellaring.
