Domaine Rollin Pere et Fils Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses 2011

This is aromatically similar to the Aloxe if ever-so-slightly more complex with the same lovely texture to the attractively mineral-inflected middle weight flavors. The mouth feel is relatively fine and I like the persistence though the finish exhibits the presence of wood tannins that are mildly drying. My score offers the benefit of the doubt that this will harmonize but note the question mark as this is an assumption, not a given - Burghound.
