Domaine de l'Anglore Tavel Vintage 2020

Regular price $144.00

While most Tavel is made to be drunk young and chilled, this cuvée is Éric Pfifferling's deliberate rebuttal — his own idea of a genuine vin de garde, built to prove that rosé can age as gracefully as any serious red. It's the most structured wine in L'Anglore's entire range, made only in the estate's best vintages from a single parcel of vines around 70 years old, interplanted with Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. Rather than the short carbonic maceration and gentle pressing used for the standard Tavel bottling, this selection is given real time — twelve to eighteen months resting in a single 600-litre demi-muid — with the same uncompromising natural approach across the whole estate: no fining, no filtration, and no added sulphur, letting the wine develop entirely on its own terms.

The result carries real richness and ageing potential rarely seen in the category: floral, spicy, and minty notes lead, joined by sweet cherry and light plum, with a long finish and enough tannic structure to suggest genuine cellaring potential rather than immediate, simple drinking.
