Comando G 'Rozas' 2023

Comando G Rozas Garnacha is a refined, highly expressive mountain red that bridges the gap between the village-level La Bruja and Comando G's top single-vineyard cuvées. Sourced from 50- to 60-year-old bush vines across several high-altitude plots around Rozas de Puerto Real (perched at 900 meters elevation), this wine thrives on light, decomposed granite soils. Fermented with 100% whole clusters using native yeasts and gentle infusion-style extraction, it is aged in concrete tanks and large neutral oak foudres to preserve its site purity. Translucent garnet in colour, it opens with a fragrant, lifted bouquet of wild raspberries, red cherries, pink peppercorns, dried rose petals, and subtle alpine pine. On the palate, it exhibits Burgundian elegance and weightless energy—framing crunchy red fruit with a fine-grained, chalky granite tannin structure and a salivating, salty mineral drive.
