Guided by special guest host Marc van Halderen, Senior Winemaker at Hill‑Smith Family Estates, these intimate evening sessions will feature a curated flight of 6 benchmark Chardonnays highlighting premium regional expressions.

Meet Your Host: Marc van Halderen

Originally from South Africa, Marc graduated with Honours from the prestigious Elsenburg Winemaking College in Stellenbosch. His early career in Constantia and the cool-climate Hemel‑en‑Aarde Valley instilled a deep commitment to terroir, elegance, and site expression.

After completing international vintages in Burgundy and the Loire Valley, Marc moved to Australia in 2013 to join Yalumba in the Barossa. Today, based in Angaston, he crafts the renowned Heggies Eden Valley Chardonnay and Riesling alongside iconic wines for Hill‑Smith Family Estates. Marc brings a wealth of international experience, warm storytelling, and practical winemaking wisdom to this unmissable masterclass.
