Romirasco is the one Aldo Conterno wanted most. He leased the vineyard for years before finally purchasing it outright in 1980 — a 3.8 hectare site whose slopes overlook the winery itself, celebrated over a century ago when its grapes were sold for some of the highest prices in the Langhe. Of the three Bussia crus, this is the undisputed apex. The vines average 50 years of age, rooted deep into the calcareous clay soils of Bussia, producing fruit of remarkable concentration and complexity
