Critic tasting note: (2016 vintage) "The last vintage from Winemaker Mike Weersing, this is more structured than its sister wine, Earth Smoke. It's a bit volatile too, but just enough to add character and lift the aromas of violets, sour cherry, mushroom, white spice, wet stone and damp earth. It's texturally gorgeous, with gravelly, mineral-streaked tannins, crystalline acidity and just a touch of funk. This is is a wild and emotive wine for drinking now.
