Leeuwin Estate Chardonnay Art Series 2018

The 2018 vintage was a warm, early season in Margaret River, producing wines of generous ripeness and richness; the Art Series responded with a more opulent, full-bodied expression than cooler vintages, while retaining the line and tension that the site and winemaking always deliver. Deep straw gold in the glass, the nose is layered and giving — white peach, fig and melon leading to cedary oak, toasted hazelnuts and a creamy lees depth; the palate broad and generous, with stone fruit richness balanced by fine natural acidity, a long mineral thread and a finish of real persistence and class.
