Expert tasting note: (2016 vintage) "Medium to deep, dark ruby-red with a red rim. The aromas open with bright raspberry fruit then juicy dark red-cherry & anise touches. The palate is open, fresh & perfumed with delicate red soft-fruit. Spicy raspberry & juicy red-plum flavors are overlaid by mocha hints & chocolate on the mid-palate. Juicy red-fruit is lifted by good acidity. Silky tannins have fine grip. The finish has concentrated, sweet licorice & lingering & delicate fruit." - 04/24 DCAMW
