David Duband Echezeaux Grand Cru is an extraordinary expression of power and aromatic intrigue, representing the pinnacle of Flagey-Échezeaux finesse. Sourced from 70-year-old vines planted high on the slope in the prized Les Rouges du Bas lieu-dit, this wine captures the cool, limestone-rich terroir of the site. Employing organic viticulture, high whole-cluster inclusion (often around 80–90%), and aging in around 40–50% new French oak, David Duband crafts an Échezeaux that favors dramatic perfume, intricate spice, and weightless structural focus over raw extraction.
