Domaine Saumaize-Michelin

Domaine Saumaize-Michelin is a respected, somewhat under-the-radar producer in the Mâconnais, based in the village of Vergisson and farming organically across some of Pouilly-Fuissé's finest limestone slopes, including the celebrated Rock of Vergisson and Rock of Solutré. René Saumaize and his family have built a reputation for whites of real precision and minerality that consistently rival much more expensive Côte de Beaune Chardonnay, making the domaine one of the more compelling value addresses for those exploring serious white Burgundy beyond Meursault and Puligny.
