Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of the Champagne house Moët & Chandon, named after the Benedictine monk traditionally (if apocryphally) credited with refining the méthode champenoise. Released only in exceptional vintage years, it is one of the most globally recognised luxury Champagne names, blending Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from grand cru vineyards into wines of great finesse, length and ageing potential — Dom Pérignon also releases extensively aged "Plénitude" editions (P2, P3) that showcase the same vintage at later stages of maturity, revealing greater complexity with time spent on its lees.
