Château Prieuré-Lichine

Château Prieuré-Lichine is a Fourth Growth estate in Margaux with a long history of producing elegant, approachable Bordeaux. Since the days of Alexis Lichine, one of the twentieth century's most influential wine figures, the estate has continually invested in vineyard quality and winemaking, producing wines that faithfully reflect the finesse and fragrance for which Margaux is renowned.

The wines are supple and beautifully perfumed, combining ripe blackcurrant and red berry fruit with notes of violet, cedar and gentle spice. Fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity create a graceful, medium-bodied style that can be enjoyed relatively young while continuing to develop added complexity with cellaring. Prieuré-Lichine remains one of Margaux's most consistently appealing estates.
