A blend of grapes from a single parcel, the La Fosse vineyard in the village of Avize, which is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Arbanne, Pinot Blanc and Petit Meslier. A non-declared vintage that was disgorged in February 2015 with an extra-brut dosage of 5g/l after the wine has sat for four years on the lees and before remuage by hand. In the glass the wine has a lucent, golden color and a fine and creamy effervescence. In the bouquet there are intense floral scents along with those of elder, hay and walnuts and notes of apple brioche and candied lemon. The attack of the mouthfeel is both rotund and rustic at the same time ahead of a compact and taut freshness and great salinity, with a pleasing balance between slightly oxidized sensations and a texture with a nice persistence - Doctor Wine
