Expert tasting note: (2014 vintage) "Medium ruby-red in color, but quite darkly pigmented. Aromas are restrained & introspective, showing red-fruit & coffee notes. Vivid cassis & redcurrant flavors on the palate are supported by fresh acidity. The mid-weight wine has fine, firm tannins. The acidity gives the cassis fruit on the mid-palate an attractive juicy nature. The tannins give grip without being astringent. The finish is long & elegant with tangy black-fruit to the end." - 05/22 DCAMW
